This was a fun project to build, I originally built it with a straight axle, but found it very difficult to turn so I added the differential and now it turns on a dime...
Customized school bus converted into 1/2 RV & 1/2 toy hauler. This is no wimpy toyhauler that you see at your RV lot...this hauls around my 1973 International Scout II (~5000 lbs). Fully self contained for primitive camping.
Built this wagon for y son. 50 year old painted boards that I planed down. Heavy 2x4 redwood frame, and redwood sides. Everything was constructed with stainless steel fasteners. Sealed with Sikkens exterior window and door finish, 4 coats. This thing is a real head turner going down the street!
The Taz Van is a 1967 G10. I bought it in Colorado in 1983 and drove it back to Illinois. It had a 289 with a C4 Trans. I put a 400 small block with a turbo 400 Trans the winter of 1983 -84. I ran that drive train with a few minor repairs "2 tranny's 5 rear ends, & a couple of carbs". This is the 4th paint job. The Current Paint job was done by Craig Weidner from Fond du Lac, WI. In the winter of 2006 - 2007 I installed the current 406 SB.

I have a Hot Water 4000psi pressure washing unit in the trailer and it is totally self contained. The trailer has a 500 gallon water tank, generator, seperate water pumps, lights, cabintes, work bench and other items to make the job easier. When I pull up to the job site the only thing that comes out of the trailer is the wand and hoses.
These are my rides. On the left, we have my 1938 Plymouth P-5 Tudor Sedan, which is powered by a 360 cu.in. MoPar® Crate engine, sporting Holley Pro-Jexion®, built onto a modified Edelbrock intake manifold, and a Torqflite 727 transmission. It runs in the high 12s at 110 mph. On the right we see my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SRT-10 with its ceramic headers, modified chip, six-speed Tremec® transmission, 15 in diameter Brembo® brakes; all pulling power from and whoaing the 505 cu.in v-10 Viper engine. In a nutshell, just like the guys at Northern Tool; I get to have my cake and eat it, too!
