Ultimate vehicle. I think so. This is the Raptor. First Ill tell you what it isnt. It is not an airboat, swamp buggy, or mud boat. It is a Hovercraft. It came to be in 2001 out of my love of flight and my wifes desire to keep me on the ground. Since I
Many tools used in the construction of this Kitfox ("Charlies Angel" ) came from Northern Tools. The plane was built at my home in Northern Virginia before I retired. It took me nine years to complete the project, but its a labor of love. My Daughter named the plane "Charlies Angel" after my middle name as I go by Charlie. The first flight was on October 18, 2003 at 1:11 PM at the Warrenton, Virginia airport (W-66). The wind was calm on takeoff but became 10 knots gusting during landing so it took two attemps to sett it down. The plane and I have now relocated to Wilmington, NC, and it has been flying successfully now for 312 years. I know this is not a car and probably not the ultimate RV you are looking for, but I consider it my ultimate ride anyway.SincerlyCharlie Conti
Some peoples car projects are not cars. I designed and built the frame for this ultralight trike. I worked with a major ultralight trike manufacturer for over 12 years so I have learned what to do and what not to do. And, yes, there a few pieces on this trike that came from Northern. I will tell you that none of them have anything to do with the flight safety of the trike. All parts that are involved with the flight safety of this craft are aircraft quality AN equipment. And, no, I did not build the wing. It is manufactured by Northwing and this is their Status soaring wing.
One off soaring trike. prototype for a composite version. Prototype has been working too good, final product may be a while.Trike is 94lbs. with reserve chute and instruments. Icaro Laminar wing is 72lbs, and is flown as a hang glider regularly.
This is a Robert Baslee 34 scale Fokker D-VIII built by John Seber of Indianapolis. I have yet to fly it as Im on active duty in Georgia, and am but a mere student pilot. The plane is registered as an experimental aircraft with a tail number, but some of Baslees birds can be flown as ultralights. Too late to have much impact during WWI, a D-VIII scored the final German victory over an Allied plane a few days before the Armistice of 11 Nov. 1918.
This is the sixth Orbiter Space Shuttle "Patriot". It is an actual US registered aircraft. At over 178 feet tall and 115 wide, it is an ultimate aircraft.
